Do you have a clinic facility?

Vet in the Valley is proud to now offer the ability to manage more intensive cases and provide our clients more options for our large animal patients at our property in Plenty. We have day yards, stables, round yard, mare and foal paddocks and undercover indoor equine crush. We have some increase ability to see small animals, but please note we are not able to hospitalise or perform anaesthetics on small animals.

What happens if my animal gets sick after hours?

After hours is always tricky! With the growing number of pets, and the shrinking number of veterinary services providing emergency care, there is a fine balancing act in providing support to our clients and animals, and looking after our veterinarians. We are committed to providing after-hours service for the animal of Southern Tasmania, however preference will be given to our clients. We also charge a new client surcharge if you utilise our service and are not a current active client. A current active client is defined as a client that has been seen by Vet in the Valley within the last 12 months.

We also will be requesting that you, where possible, travel your animal closer to us, to reduce our emergency travel. Obviously this will be a case-by-case request.

Vet in the Valley provides an after hour service for all animals however as we do not have a hospital we may recommend that you take your small animal such as dog or cat, onto the Animal Emergency Service. They can be contacted on 1300 302 912 and are located on 37 Derwent Park Road, Moonah.
